Abstract

Abstract. The article presents the results of a study of the physical fitness of children aged 7–9 who practice sports acrobatics. The purpose of the study was to identify the level of development of general and special physical training in young acrobats, and to determine the age-related characteristics of strength, speed, flexibility, and coordination. The study involved 60 children (30 boys and 30 girls) from acrobatics sports clubs. Standardized tests were used: 30-meter run, standing long jump, forward bend from a standing position, pull-ups on a horizontal bar, flexibility exercises, and balance exercises. The results indicate a high level of overall physical fitness in 8-9-year-old children compared to 7-year-old children, as well as the need to adjust the training process to improve special endurance and dynamic coordination. The research results can be used by coaches and educators to optimize training programs.
