Abstract

Abstract. This article examines issues related to comparing the grammatical and syntactic structures of the Kazakh and Russian languages. The relevance of the issue under consideration is determined by the fact that, in the context of bilingualism in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh is the state language and Russian is the language of official communication. Most citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan speak at least two languages, and there is interpenetration between languages. The authors examine the grammatical and syntactic structures of the Kazakh and Russian languages and identify similarities and differences. After analysing the features of the typological structure of the languages under study, the authors compiled a table of similarities and differences between Kazakh and Russian and came to important conclusions about the possibility of using the results of the study in the field of language teaching methodology.
