Abstract

Alkey Khakanovich Margulan is the founder of the Kazakh school of archaeology, a prominent figure in many fields of science: ethnography, history, Oriental studies, literary studies, art history. He made a great contribution to the study of the history and literature of the Kazakh people. He has published dozens of books, more than three hundred scientific studies and more than a hundred encyclopedic articles on history, archaeology, ethnography, literature and art born from his pen. Alekei Margulan conducted a lot of research related to the ancient history and archeology of Kazakhstan and played an important role in the revival of the historical and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The main works of margulan were devoted to the study of the history of the Kazakh people from ancient times to the Middle Ages. He studied the traces of ancient cultures in the Kazakh steppes, conducted archaeological excavations and presented new data on the culture and history of Central Asia. His scientific and pedagogical activity is an important step towards the deep understanding and study of the history of Kazakh culture.
