This article describes the mobile application "Tourist Guide for Taraz City," developed to enhance the tourist potential of Taraz. The primary goal of the application is to provide tourists with a convenient format for accessing information about the city's landmarks, historical monuments, and cultural heritage. The project was implemented using the Android Studio development environment, the Java programming language, and the Firebase Realtime Database cloud database system. The application offers tourists features such as an interactive map, audio and video guides, and the ability to create personalized routes.
The research methods included analyzing the functional capabilities of tourist applications, collecting information about the historical and cultural features of Taraz, and systematizing it in digital format. During development, particular attention was paid to improving the user interface and effectively utilizing multimedia capabilities.
The results of the study showed that the application allows tourists to access essential information quickly and conveniently. Its architecture, based on modern technologies, contributes to creating a comfortable travel experience and promoting the city's cultural heritage.
This application enhances the region's tourist appeal, improves the quality of tourism services, and increases Taraz's recognition at the international level. Additionally, the project can serve as a model for developing similar digital tools for other cities in Kazakhstan.
