“DIGITAL CITIZEN” PHENOMENON: POLITICAL ANTHROPOLOGY OF THE 21ST-CENTURY HUMAN

. This article analyzes the phenomenon of the "digital citizen," which has emerged in the context of socio-political transformations of the 21st century, from the perspective of political anthropology. The main aim of the study is to determine the impact of digitalization processes on the political being of humans, their political culture, and forms of civic participation. The article examines changes in contemporary political identity, patterns of political behavior in digital spaces, and new communicative experiences based on cultural-anthropological and political science theories.
The research employed comparative analysis, systemic approach, structural-functional, and interpretative methods. The results revealed that digital technologies not only strengthen the role of humans as political subjects but also generate new forms of political manipulation, informational dependency, and symbolic power.
The findings emphasize the importance of a cultural-anthropological perspective in understanding current political processes. The scientific value of the article lies in the comprehensive analysis of the concept of the "digital citizen" within the framework of political anthropology. Its practical significance is highlighted by its potential application in developing political culture, enhancing civic engagement, and improving information security policies in a digital society.
