Abstract. The article examines the significance of biological sciences in the professional training of physical education teachers. The role of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, hygiene, and ecology in the scientifically grounded organization of physical education classes is analyzed. The influence of biological knowledge on optimizing physical load, maintaining students’ health, and improving the effectiveness of motor activity is substantiated. The research findings confirm that biological competence is an essential component of the professional training of physical education teachers.
