Abstract

The article examines the social and public significance of language training for specialists with secondary vocational education in the context of contemporary socio-economic and cultural transformations. The role of proficiency in the native and foreign languages is analyzed as an important factor in professional mobility, social adaptation, and effective communication in the professional environment. Special attention is given to the impact of language training on the development of learners’ general cultural and professional competencies, their civic responsibility, and their ability for intercultural interaction. The necessity of improving the content and methods of language instruction within the system of secondary vocational education is substantiated, taking into account labor market requirements and societal needs. The research findings may be applied in educational practice in the development and updating of language training programs for mid-level specialists.
