The article examines the possibilities of using project-based learning in natural science and anatomy lessons as an effective method for activating students' cognitive activity. The projects were conducted among students in grades 5 and 8. The purpose of introducing project-based learning was to develop research skills, critical thinking, and increase interest in natural sciences. Three educational projects were implemented, which resulted in improved academic performance, increased interest in studying natural science and research activities, and the formation of independent analysis skills in students.
